Welcome to Rahab

Welcome to my blog and my first post. I felt compelled to create this blog after being frustrated with yet another search for a Christian blog or magazine that wasn’t addressed to college age women. Don’t get me wrong, I love the messages they share and the encouragement and wish I’d had them in college but I can’t relate to them as much now.

I’m thirty and have had and left a career. I have watched countless friends get married and have children, while I have remained in the single season. I’ve made bad decisions and good ones. I’ve lost a lot of friends due to changes in life, betrayals and death. I don’t focus about getting good grades, but about living by a budget and saving for retirement and handling money in a godly way. I focus about work-life-balance and the quality of my life over the quantity of a pay check.  This is my goal – to focus on Christian women past college. To write about the issues we face, whether we’re single or married or divorced, no children or three, etc.  This is our reality and will hopefully be a place of encouragement and love. I want you to think and be challenged by what I write and to challenge me if you have another perspective.

If you want to know why I named this blog Rahab, check out my About section to understand who she is and why I wanted to honor her.

Thanks for reading. If you have any suggestions about topics you would like me to cover, please leave a comment. I’d love to hear from you!

  1. Thanks for the tip. Maybe I checked it out when it was a “miss” for me. I also like the feel of blogs because they seem more personable and relatable. I love the messages and encouragement that I have seen in other blogs geared towards younger women and just think it would be encouraging to have something similar.
